Hamdullah Baycar is an Assistant Professor at the Department of International Relations at Karadeniz Technical University. He received his PhD from the Institute of Arab and Islamic Studies at the University of Exeter. He received his MA from the Center for Middle Eastern Studies at Harvard University. Dr. Baycar research focuses on the identity politics of the Gulf, Orientalism, Colonialism, and Post-Colonialism.
