Dr. Khalid Al-Jaber currently serves as the Director of the MENA Centre in Washington, D.C. He previously held the position of Editor-in-Chief of The Peninsula, Qatar’s leading English-language daily newspaper. Dr. Al-Jaber is recognized as a scholar in Gulf, Arab, and International Studies, with a focus on political affairs, international relations, media, international communication, and social and cultural fields. He has published numerous books, research papers, reports, and academic articles in internationally accredited academic and professional journals, in addition to his regular contributions to various Arab and international newspapers and magazines. He has held several prominent positions, including Deputy Editor-in-Chief at Al-Sharq daily newspaper, Director of Public Relations and Communications at the Cultural Village Foundation (Katara), Director of the Press and Media Monitoring Office at the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Head of the Diplomatic Section at Al-Watan newspaper in Qatar. Dr. Al-Jaber earned his Master’s degree from the United States and his PhD from the United Kingdom. He also holds several diplomas, including a Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership from Georgetown University in Washington, a Diploma in Project Management for Private Enterprises from Stanford University in California, and a Diploma in International Relations and Cooperation from Fordham University in New York.
