He received his PhD in Economics from the University of Fran\u00e7ois Rabelais (Tours, France) in 2014. At the Doha Institute, he served as the founding Head of the Public Policy Program for five years and later as Coordinator of the PhD Program. Prior to joining the Institute, he worked as a Consultant in the Research Department of the African Development Bank (2007\u20132014), and held research fellowships with the Commitment to Equity (CEQ) Institute at Tulane University and the WTO Chair Program.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">His research interests lie at the intersection of political economy, economic development, and public policy, with a particular focus on the political economy of democratization in the Middle East, structural transformation, the distributive effects of fiscal policy, and the nexus between trade and development.
