  • APPEC: Kuwait Preparing for Long US-Iran Disruption, Plans to Buy More Ships
Kuwait Petroleum Corporation plans to expand its tanker fleet and storage capacity as it prepares for prolonged disruptions to regional energy trade caused by the U.S.-Iran conflict. KPC Managing Director of International Marketing Sheikh Khaled Al-Sabah said that increasing the company's own shipping capacity would give Kuwait greater control over crude oil and petroleum-product deliveries as disruptions complicate trade flows and delivery schedules. KPC is also expanding storage capacity as part of efforts to strengthen supply resilience and maintain commitments to customers.
