Oman has formally ratified a new 50:50 Omani-Turkish partnership to develop and explore the strategically located offshore Block 80 concession in Musandam in Royal Degree 77/2026 by His Majesty Sultan Haitham. The Exploration and Production Concession Agreement was signed between the Omani Government, OQ Exploration and Production, Musandam Offshore LLC, and Turkish Petroleum Overseas Company Limited. Under the agreement OQEP Musandam Offshore holds a 50 percent participating interest and retains operatorship. TPOC holds the remaining 50 percent. The concession marks an expansion of Turkish participation in Oman's energy sector.
