Petroleum Development Oman awarded Weatherford a three-year integrated drilling-services contract covering 274 wells in the Marmul and Greater Saqr fields on September 21. The contract covers drilling, completion and well-intervention services and is intended to support PDO's production plans while improving drilling efficiency and cost control. The agreement also includes commitments to "Omanization," local-content development and the training of Omani personnel.
