Starting February 2020, crude oil grades of Qatar Land and Qatar marine will be changed from a retroactive pricing basis to a prospective pricing basis. This is the third month that QP has set these prices in preparation for its move to forward-looking official selling prices. This change in pricing will allow new customers to better measure Qatari crude grades with other crude grades in the region. These maneuverings will bring Qatar Petroleum more in line with countries such as Saudi Arabia and Iraq.
