Saudi Arabia and Kuwait announced a "highly significant" oil discovery in the Partitioned Zone—a jointly managed area. The discoveries included six fields and two reservoirs of Arabian oil, in addition to two fields and four reservoirs of natural gas. Specifically, it was found in the North Wafra Wara-Burgan field.
