Saudi Energy Minister Khalid Al-Falih said his country is planning to increase oil exports by 40% through the east-west pipeline via the Yanbu port city on the Red Sea to avoid passing through the Strait of Hormuz. Currently, the pipeline capacity is at 5 million bpd and the Saudi government is planning to increase it to 7 million bpd within two years.
