On May 12, Senator Bill Cassidy (R-LA) introduced S.3687, a bill to take certain actions in response to Saudi Arabia's aggression towards the United States petroleum industry. The bill calls for the removal of U.S. Armed Forces from Saudi Arabia and the enactment of a tariff on petroleum imports from Saudi Arabia to keep the price of petroleum products over $40 per barrel.
