ADNOC CEO Sulttan Al Jaber confirmed the new West-East Pipeline to Fujairah is approximately 50% complete and on track for a 2027 operational target, which will double the UAE's Hormuz bypass export capacity to over 3.6 million bpd. Al Jaber warned that full oil flows through Hormuz will not return before Q1-Q2 of 2027, even in an optimistic peace scenario, citing infrastructure damage, insurance reinstatement timelines, and shipping recovery backlogs. He estimated over one billion barrels of oil have been lost globally from the closure. The pipeline completion will cement the UAE as the only Gulf producer, alongside Saudi Arabia, with full structural independence from Hormuz for oil exports.
