Welcoming a New Distinguished Fellow

GULF INTERNATIONAL FORUM WELCOMES NEW A DISTINGUISHED FELLOW
Washington, DC: The Gulf International Forum, headquartered in Washington, DC, is proud to announce the addition of a distinguished scholar to its Fellowship Program. H.E. Dr. Salem Alhajraf is joining us as a Distinguished Fellow, bringing extensive expertise on energy and economic policy in the GCC. Dr. Alhajraf’s insights and unique professional experiences will significantly enrich the Forum’s scholarship and discussions.

Dr. Salem Alhajraf to our fellowship,” said Gulf International Forum Executive Director Dr. Dania Thafer. “He has demonstrated exceptional leadership in his field, and we are excited about the perspectives he will bring to our mission of fostering understanding and dialogue about the Gulf region.”
The Non-Resident Fellowship Program, established in 2018, seeks to expand the conversation on the politics, economics, and societal dynamics of the Gulf region. Fellows collaborate with the Forum on research and publications and contribute to its events and initiatives.
The New Fellows:
H.E. Dr. Salem Alhajraf: Dr. Alhajraf is a former Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy of the State of Kuwait with over 30 years of experience in the energy field, mainly in the renewable energy, clean energy transition, and energy policy domain. He previously held several senior roles, including the Deputy Director General of the Kuwait Foundation for Advancement (KFAS) and the Executive Director of the Energy and Building Research Center at the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR). He is also the founder and project manager of the Shagaya Renewable Energy Park Initiative in Kuwait.
