Dr. Ali Alsayegh is a lecturer in politics at Northwestern University in Qatar and the Community College of Qatar. He is also a research associate at the Qatar-South Africa Centre for Peace and Intercultural Understanding at the University of Johannesburg, South Africa. His current research focuses on charismatic leadership, propaganda, and emotional politics in the Middle East and beyond. He holds a Ph.D. in Middle East Politics from the University of Exeter, Institute of Arab and Islamic Studies. He is on X at @_alialsayegh.
