Salman Yusuf Zayed is a Senior Lecturer in the Education Studies Academic Group at Mohammed Jaber Al Ansari College for Teachers, University of Bahrain, formerly Bahrain Teachers College. He holds a Master of Arts in Education, a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Education, and a Bachelor of Arts in Education and Economics from the University of Auckland, New Zealand. He has also completed professional qualifications in leadership, coaching, and learning from Harvard Graduate School of Education, Pearson, and UCL Institute of Education. His teaching, research, and professional work focus on educational leadership, school improvement and effectiveness, comparative education, education reform, and teacher and school leader development. Zayed has published peer-reviewed research on educational leadership preparation in the Gulf, school improvement, professional capital, public libraries and socioeconomic development, and teacher education. His work has appeared in regional and international journals, including the London Review of Education and the Journal of Professional Capital and Community. He currently serves as Vice President of the Gulf Comparative Education Society and is an active member of several international educational research and leadership associations, such as the International Congress for School Effectiveness and Improvement (ICSEI) and the British Educational Leadership, Management and Administration Society (BELMAS). He also contributes to regional educational dialogue through research, public writing, webinars, and professional development activities for teachers and school leaders across the Gulf.
