August Sack is a Research Assistant Intern at Gulf International Forum and a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy candidate at The Fletcher School, specializing in International Security Studies and International Negotiation and Conflict Resolution. His academic and professional interests focus on U.S.–Gulf relations, regional security, nonproliferation, and the political economy of the Middle East. He has spent three summers studying Arabic in Amman, Jordan, where he also worked as a visiting researcher at the Arab Institute for Security Studies on Track II diplomacy and regional security issues. His research has examined ballistic missile proliferation, Gulf security dynamics, and the role of the United States as a security guarantor in the MENA region.
